New Army Chief holds first meeting with PM Nawaz
General Raheel Sharif formally took over as the head of Pakistans army on Nov 29.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad today (Tuesday) and discussed professional matters of the armed forces.
Security situation of the country besides issue of missing persons also came under discussion.
The Prime Minister felicitated General Raheel Sharif on assuming the office of Army Chief and hoped that Pakistan Army will further improve its professional capabilities under his leadership.
Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif was also present in the meeting.
