PPP's 9 MPAs, PML-Q's 2 MNAs join 'N'
PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar says the real PPP was buried along with Benazir Bhutto.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Nine Pakistan People’s Party members of Punjab Assembly and two Members of National Assembly on Friday announced to join Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
The MPAs and MNAs announced to join PML-N in a meeting with Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
Along with two PML-Q MNAs Pir Aslam Bodla and Deewan Ashiq Bukhari, the Punjab Assembly members of the PPP who joined PML-N included Nishat Khan Daha, Jameel Shah, Rana Babar, Abbas Zafar Haraj, Javed Allauddin, Kamil Shumail Gujjar, Rana Munawar Ghaus, Qaisar Sandhu and Uzma Bukhari.
Former MPA and PPP Punjab general Secretary Samiullah Khan also announced to join PML-N.
Speaking on this occasion, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the doors of the party were closed on those who had been involved in conspiracies against PML-N during Musharraf era.
Nisar said that PML-N had reached a consensus on one name for caretaker PM while consultation for other names would be started soon.
The newly-joined members were of the view that the PPP government did nothing for the masses during its five years’ tenure; rather it brought decay and destruction to national institutions.
