Mercury drops as rain lashes parts of country
Pakistan Mateorological Department has predicted snowfall in Murree today.
A strong western system is affecting most parts of the country and likely to persist till Tuesday. This strong weather system is expected to generate heavy rains with snowfall over the hills in upper parts of the country.
Different parts of the country are in the grip of severe cold wave following rainfall in different cities of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan on Sunday.
Light rain started in Islamabad on Sunday afternoon which dropped the mercury down. Rain was also recorded in Lahore.
Muzaffarabad, Rawlakot, Bagh, Chakothi and Athmuqam remain under cloud cover on Sunday. Neelam Valley and Lipa Valley received heavy snowfall and rain.
Weather remained partly cloudy in Karachi and Met office has predicted ligt rain in different parts of Sindh today (Monday).
