ANP demands immediate military operation in Karachi

The ANP has sought military operation in Karachi for restoration of law and order.

Addressing joint session of parliament, ANP leader Shahi Syed said that if the Army could launch military operation in Sawat, Bunair and other northern areas why it was hesitating from taking any step in this regard in Karachi.He said that the situation of law and order has become so pitiable in the metropolis that innocent workers are being killed. Everybody was talking of chaotic condition in Karachi but no serious action was being taken for restoration of peace and tranquility in the city.He said that looters and plunders have exploited all the mercantile activities of the city for their vested interests while nobody was bothering about it seriously.Criticizing rulers’ cold-heartedness, he said that they come in the parliament here, take tea, share ideas with their part men and discuss national issues just as lips service. It is evident that rulers have nothing to do with the issues faced by the people who were being killed for nothing.Once again, he demanded that military action should be taken against extortionists, target-killers and other dangerous elements which have made the city as hell for common man.
