Here is how Tom Cruise has 'teased' the film buffs today:

LOS ANGELES (Web Desk) – Our ‘Jack Reacher’ is to bring to us an installment of the much loved ‘Mummy’ franchise after it reached out to diasporas of different continents alike with its second release in 2001.

In a message on social media, Cruise announced that trailer of the film will be released on December 4 (Sunday).

However, Tom Cruise did not make an announcement without dishing something out for our palates. Here is the tease that he released today:

‘The Mummy Returns’ in 2001, explored archeologist, Richard O Connell, played by Brendan Fraser’s attempt to save the people of curse of an Egyptian priest who is accidentally resurrected by his son.

Before that ‘The Mummy’ was released in 1999 while the third installment of the successful franchise, ‘The Mummy Returns: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor’ boasted Chinese Jet Li as the priest and revolved around like premises.

It was released in 2008, around eight years before Tom Cruise would star in one of the chapters.

It should be noted here that fiction revolving around Egyptian mummies is not confined to the screen but the characters have been exploited in video games, an animated television series and comics.
