Ellen DeGeneres humbles Priyanka
It could not have happened unless humour went along and it did
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Priyanka Chopra appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday which, one would say, could have gone better.
Starting off with a shot of Tequila which was reminiscent of the one downed by the former Miss World while walking the red carpet for an event earlier, Ellen talked to her about her rise to fame.
Chopra told on the show that it was her mother who clicked her photographs like any mother would and dispatched those to the pageant, all without her knowledge.
Long story short, the next thing she knew was she got shortlisted and eventually won ‘Miss India’. Around seven months later, she went on to become Miss World.
However, what followed left Priyanka embarrassed for taking it too far, for what she thought was a joke but turned out to be an immodest declaration.
Ellen praised the actor by saying that different production houses were jumping to sign her for she was beautiful and could act. Priyanka remarked: “Doesn’t happen often.”
DeGeneres had to clear: “No, it does, it happens all the time as a matter of fact.”
However, it could not have happened unless humour went along and that’s how it occurred on the show.
Priyanka has appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ and a number of different entertainment talkshows in the United States (US) ever since her ‘Quantico’ was rooted for in which she plays a tough government agent.
The Indian star was also invited to Obama’s last Correspondents’ Dinner of his second term at the White House.
