Mawra Hocane dropped from Himesh Reshammiya's Sydney concert
Sources told that Mawra contacted show's organizer who abstained her from attending the program.
MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane has been stopped from participating in Indian concert in Sydney.
Mawra Hocane, who debuted in Indian movie Sanam Teri Kasam, was booked to perform in upcoming concert of Himesh Reshammiya but later the actress was dropped from the event.
Sources told that Mawra contacted show’s organizer who abstained her from attending the program.
The act came amid heightened tensions between Pakistan and India following the Uri attack.
In the aftermath of the incident, Pakistani artists have also been banned by the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) from working in India.
Besides this, the Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) have also announced that Indian films having Pakistani artists will not be screened in the cinemas.
The movies affected by the ban are Fawad’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Mahira Khan’s ‘Raees’.
