Macau casino resort, City of Dreams, premiered the world's largest water-based show 'The House of Dancing Water. The show, which opens to the public on Friday (tomorrow), was envisioned by Mr. Lawrence Ho, Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Melco Crown Entertainment Limited and created by Franco Dragone. Performed by a cast of 77 international performers and approximately 130 production and technical members, including divers, from more than 18 countries around the world, the show incorporates dazzling costumes, cutting-edge audio and visual special affects, staged at the purpose built 'Dancing Water Theater'. The theater is one of the largest water-based theaters in the world, holding approximately 3.7 million gallons which is more than five Olympic-sized swimming pools. 'The House of Dancing Water' is an epic love story set in a kingdom where magic reigns and where love triumphs over hate. Melco Crown hopes the glitzy extravaganza will bolster its business mix beyond hardcore gambling to encompass more family-based entertainment and leisure. Ho said that the investment was to reinforce City of Dreams' position as a multi-day stay resort and one of Asia's premier leisure and entertainment destinations. The City of Dreams opened last June on Macau's Cotai Strip, a dusty stretch of reclaimed land developers are promoting as Asia's answer to Las Vegas' neon alley.
