LAHORE (Dunya News) - Renowned radio, TV and film actor Ghayyur Akhtar passed away in Lahore on Friday.
Ghayyur Akhtar started acting in the late 1970s and became famous during 1980s. His performances in drama serials such as ‘Khawaja and Sons’ and ‘Sona Chandi’ were highly appreciated.
Ghayyur was particularly famous for his acting abilities in comedy roles.
For his startling performance throughout his career, he also received Pride of Performance Award.
Information Minister Pervez Rashid has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Ghayyur Akhtar.
He said he was a great artist and will always live in the minds and hearts of people.
