(Web Desk) – Australia pacer Shaun Tait has dwelled on his ‘second home’ Mumbai and his in-laws in a recent interview, hindustantimes.com reported on Sunday.

Tait had received Overseas Citizen of India status in March this year after he married an Indian model Mashoom Singha in 2014 whom he had met in an Indian Premier League after-party.

The former Aussie pacer said that his mother-in-law spoils him with head massages while her daughters get jealous for the royal treatment he gets at home.

He said that though it is hard to get a moment to yourself in noisy Mumbai, he never feels homesick in the Indian city. Tait said that he comes from a small town in Australia so he is not used to the noise much.

Talking about his relationship with Singha, he said that they had their anniversary just recently however, his trackrecord with anniversaries is not going good.

He told the Indian media that he had forgotten to wish Singha on one of the wedding anniversies and on another, he sent a bouqet to her office which he learnt later was a public holiday that day.

He was asked about his influences that he wishes to pursue in life after he announced his retirement earlier to which he said that money doesn’t inspire him.

Another question about breaking into Bollywood made him reveal that he was to play a small part in Kai Po Che but he had to fly back to Australia so it could not happen. However, he recalled that he did play a part in Patiala House.

The elaborate song and dance is not what he relates to and his Hindi is bad so it is difficult for him to go down this path, he said.
