Khawaja Ruhail appointed as head trainer by Afghanistan Cricket Board

The newly-hired head trainer said that he will assist the Afghan team to stay fit.

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) appointed a Pakistani strength and conditioning Khawaja Ruhail as a trainer in National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Khawaja Ruhail is certified by National Academy of Sports Medicine in USA as sports performance enhancement specialist and level-II by Australian Strength and Conditioning Association.

The newly-hired head trainer said that he will assist the Afghan team to stay fit. “I will prepare them well for big matches against big opponents.”

“I will design the best plan for the Afghanistan players, which will certainly help in improving their performance,” he added.

Ruhail lauded Afghanistan’s performance in World Twenty20 and said they played exceptionally well but the team need to get better for winning mega titles.

Meanwhile, NCA Director Aizad Hussain Syed and coach Kabir Khan encouraged Ruhail to train the Afghans and showed full satisfaction on his skills.

They said that the new head would surely bring positive outcomes to the team.
