Remittance to Pakistan sets new record

Expats sent $ 1.31 to Pakistan during first two months of FY 2011-12.

According to State Bank of Pakistan’s report, Pakistani overseas have sent 1.31 billion of dollars remittances to the country during the first two months.The report further said, in August 2011, an amount of $1.31 billion dollars was sent, while in August 2010, an amount of $933.06 million was received as remittances, which was 40 percent lower than Aug 2011.Earlier, expats have sent $1.1 billion to Pakistan in June 2010.
