KESC tariff increased by 15 paisa per unit

The Ministry of Water and Electricity has issued to increase 15 paisa per unit tariff of Karachi Electric Supply Company. Now change in the tariff of oil and power would be transferred to customers on monthly basis. According to the notification, KESC has set the tariff of land line customers at 1 rupee and 66 paisas per unit. Tariff for customers using 1 to 100 units would be charged at 3 rupees and 91 paisas per unit while tariff for customers using 100 to 300 units would be charged at 5 rupees and 89 paisas per unit. Tariff for customers using 300 to 700 units would be charged at 9 rupees and 52 paisas per unit while tariff for customers using more than 700 units would be charged at 11 rupees and 87 paisas per unit. Agricultural customers tariff would be 4 rupees and 75 paisas per unit while industrial customers would be charged at 6 rupees and 36 paisas or 7 rupees and 76 paisas per unit. New tariff would be applied from July 1, 2010.
