UK Sharia Courts gaining popularity among non-Muslims
Islamic laws are attaining a speeding popularity in Britain and a large number of non-Muslims are moving the Sharia Courts to resolve their business and criminal disputes. A reconciliatory court by the name of Muslim Arbitration Tribunal has above five percent of its cases by non-Muslims. Spokesman of the tribunals president Fareed Shadai says that tribunal resolves a case immediately which is not possible for the complex British Judicial System. According to him, 20 disputes of the non-Muslims have been disposed off by the tribunal during the current year. Petitioners are bound to abide by the tribunals rules before the hearing starts. After this, the tribunals ruling attains legal status. Despite the objections by the opponents of Sharia Laws, the tribunal is gaining popularity with the non-Muslims. Some 85 Sharia Councils are operating in UK after getting a legal status in 1996.
