Summary Iranian president says hostile forces are targeting country’s infrastructure in an attempt to fuel public dissatisfaction and undermine stability
TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged citizens to cut back on electricity and energy use amid mounting pressure on the country’s infrastructure, according to Al Jazeera, citing the semi-official Mehr News Agency.
Speaking on the issue, Pezeshkian said hostile forces are targeting Iran’s infrastructure in an attempt to fuel public dissatisfaction and undermine stability.
He stressed that citizens should remain vigilant and not allow such efforts to succeed.
The president emphasized the importance of managing consumption, calling on households to adopt simpler habits.
“Instead of keeping ten lights on at home, two should be enough — there is no harm in that,” he said.
He added that responsible energy use is essential in the current circumstances and can help the country withstand external pressures.
Meanwhile, President Pezeshkian said that the anniversary of America’s historic defeat in the Tabas Desert will be commemorated on May 5.

In a statement shared on social media, he said that divine support and assistance in Iran had crushed American arrogance.
He added that this year, with God’s help, “another Tabas” has begun in southern Isfahan, which represents a clear failure for the enemy.
The Iranian president further expressed hope that such historic defeats serve as a lesson for arrogant powers around the world.
