MOSCOW (Shahid Ghuman) – The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned Ukraine’s drone attacks, calling them a “terrorist act.”
In a statement on Monday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that Kyiv has once again demonstrated its “ruthless and Nazi mindset,” targeting Russian civilians after failures on the military front.
She said Ukraine carried out 33 drone attacks on the regions of Voronezh, Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod, with the greatest damage reported in residential areas of Voronezh. As a result of the attacks, a woman succumbed was killed while at least three other people were injured.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said the targets included more than ten residential apartment buildings, several private homes, a gymnasium, and multiple administrative buildings which “proves that the civilian population was deliberately targeted.”
The spokesperson stated that the Ukrainian government is “venting its anger on ordinary civilians after military failures at the front” and called on international institutions to conduct an impartial assessment of these actions. “Such attacks are a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and that all those responsible must be held accountable,” she added.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also criticized the silence of the international community, saying that continued inattention to Kyiv’s “uncivilized barbarity” is only emboldening it further.
