GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (Reuters) – Roads in Grand Rapids, Michigan were blanketed with snow in the early hours of Sunday as a winter storm hit the Midwest.
Light traffic was seen moving along roads in Grand Rapids as snow and wind blew in with the weather system.
The National Weather Service (NWS) said on Sunday a winter-like pattern will grip much of the US through Tuesday, bringing storms and cold temperatures.
The storm is due to taper off in the Midwest and Great Lakes on Sunday, with lake-effect snow lingering, before another system will spread rain, thunderstorms, and wintry mix from the Gulf Coast to the Northeast Monday into Tuesday.
