Five runners were gored, two severely, in Pamplonas annual San Fermin bull running festival, and six runners suffered other injuries. One of the most severe injuries was experienced by a man who was gored in the neck and thigh by one of the bulls. The main culprit of the injuries was a 575 kilo bull called Ermitano - Hermit in Spanish - who got left behind by the other bulls and was slamming anyone he could in his path to the bull ring at the end of the run, Spanish media said. Earlier, on Friday a bull gored a man to death. Daniel Jimeno, a 27-year-old Spaniard, was gored in the neck after one of the bulls veered into a group of runners, a Navarre regional government official told reporters. Hundreds of runners from around the world now participate in the week-long fiesta, often drinking all night before the early morning run through the streets in front of bulls rushing to the bull ring.
