Mexico: 3 killed as small plane crashes in Tijuana

A small plane crashed in Tijuana killing the pilot, his daughter and a victim on ground.

Three people were killed on Monday when a small plane crashed near the airport in the city of Tijuana close to the international border with San Diego, officials said.The plane went down after taking off and crashed into an auto repair shop near a street market.According to the authorities said the 62-year-old pilot called Francisco Serveno and his 17-year-old daughter died upon impact. A 40 year-old man called Alberto Gonzalez who had taken his vehicle in for repairs was also killed. Eight vehicles were set on fire.Authorities are still investigating the crash site to determine what caused the accident.
