A major dust storm and high winds blow through the longhorn state.

A major dust storm swept through Lubbock, Texas, accompanied by high winds and visibility warnings.Local officials reported high winds with gusts of 60 miles per hour (96.5 kilometres per hour), that downed trees, and reduced visibility across the South Plains. The wall of dust darkened skies and stopped traffic in some areas, as well as caused some minor damage.Residents were advised to watch for downed power lines and watch out for hazardous traffic conditions. No injuries were reported.
