Libyan interim government forces entered Gaddafi’s stronghold of Bani Walid on Sunday and raised Libyas new flag, a senior military commander said.We have reached the city center (of Bani Walid) and have raised the flag, Colonel Abdullah Naker, head of the Tripoli Revolutionist Council said. Fighters from a brigade taking part in the assault on Bani Walid also told Reuters they had entered the town.Bani Walid is -- along with Gaddafis hometown of Sirte -- one of only two remaining towns in Libya resisting the rule of the National Transitional Council (NTC).A Tripoli-based military commander has insisted that one of Muammar Gaddafis sons has been captured in Sirte, despite recent speculation to the contrary.Speaking in Tripoli on Sunday (October 15), the head of the Tripoli Revolutionist Council, Abdallah Naker, said that deposed Libyan leader Gaddafis son, Motassim, had been detained by his forces in Sirte.
