(KMS) – Molestation of minority women continues unabated in India as a Muslim woman was molested and thrashed by a Hindutva armed mob in Madhya Pradesh state.
Zarrin Khan, a physiotherapist by profession, was passing through Ujjain’s Kharakua on her scooty when the main accused, Hitesh Badwaya, stopped her two-wheeler and pulled the vehicle’s key out.
He grabbed her hand and assaulted her when she resisted.

Later, Zarrin sought help from one of her acquaintances, Taufeeq Khan, who was passing through the area. Taufeeq intervened and asked the accused to back off, but Hitesh — instead of budging — called his group members and thrashed him before fleeing the spot.
She described the incident in her tweet that “When I cried for help and begged in front of them to stop and spare me, they said tu kuch nahi kar sakti, prashasan hamara hai, hamara koi kuch nahi bigad sakta, police hamari jeb me hai, yahan bhi Manipur bana denge (You cannot do anything, the administration is ours, no one can harm us, the administration is ours and we keep it in our pocket, we will repeat what happened in Manipur with women)”.
After the incident, locals in the area, led by two Congress leaders, Noori Khan and Ravi Bhadauria, surrounded the police station and demanded swift action against the accused. The protestors demanded that the house of the accused be demolished.
It may be recalled that Christian women were undressed, paraded and gang raped in Manipur state a couple of weeks ago.
