Strong tremors shook the Indian capital New Delhi shortly before midnight Wednesday.

The temblors woke residents, despite no immediate reports of any major earthquakes from national or global monitoring agencies.The tremors lasted for only matter of seconds but shook buildings in and around the city.There were no immediate reports of any damage or casualties.
