CIA to probe young man's killing in Islamabad police shooting
Policemen allegedly involved in Taimur's murder are still at large.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Police handed over probe of Taimur murder case to Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) on Saturday.
CIA has constituted three teams for arrest of culprits whereas statement of Maheen, the girl in car alongside deceased Taimur, has also been recorded.
Investigation officers has granted permission to Maheen to leave for home but she would remain part of investigation till completion of interim challan.
Policemen allegedly involved in Taimur’s murder are still at large.
Sources also stated that policeman Samiullah, main accused in Taimur murder case, submitted gun in police station while saying that he would be back in a while.
Taimur was was fatally shot by policemen in Islamabad’s Sector I-10/1 in the early hours of Friday allegedly after failing to stop at a checkpoint.
The victim received at least one bullet injury to the head after the police opened fire on his vehicle.
A case was registered against the police officers at the Sabzi Mandi police station by Taimur’s brother. No arrests have been made so far.
