Libyan government rejected ICCs war crimes arrest warrant against Muammar Gaddafi.
Libya dismissed a move by the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue an arrest warrant for Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi, rejecting the authority of the tribunal.According to Libyan sources, the ICC step is nothing but a cover for the military operations of NATO forces. The Hague-based court approved warrants for Gaddafi, his son Saif al-Islam and Libyan intelligence chief Abdullah al-Senussi under the charges of crimes against humanity. Prosecutors alleged that they were involved in the killing of civilian protesters who rose up in February against Gaddafis 41-year rule.
