25 killed in two bomb blasts in Iraq

Two car bombs killed 25 people and injured more than 30 in Iraqi city of Diwaniyah on Tuesday.

According to a defence ministry official, two car bombs exploded almost simultaneously near the governors home in Diwaniyah, killing 25 people and wounding more than 30.It was not immediately known if the governor, Salam Hussein Alwan, was among the casualties.A fresh wave of violence has gripped Diwaniyah, 150 kilometres south of Baghdad.
