US mulls more troops pullout from Afghanistan, claims newspaper

The New York Times has claimed that US is considering more troops withdrawal from Afghanistan.

President Barack Obama will discuss Pakistan and Afghanistan situation in the National Security Council today. It is said that withdrawal of more troops from Afghanistan would come under consideration during the meeting.According to US officials, troop reductions in Afghanistan was justified by the rising cost of the war and the death of Osama bin Laden. They said the final decision would be announced after Obama’s meeting with the National Security Council.
