Yemens embattled President Ali Abdullah Saleh was wounded on Friday in an attack on his palace.

According to a security official, his premier and other officials were also injured as shells struck a mosque in the presidential palace compound.Four of his guards were also killed and the speaker of the parliament left in a critical condition after the attack.The PM was also injured in the attacks after forces loyal to the president battled with tribal fighters in Yemens capital in clashes that killed dozens and injured hundreds more.Witnesses said security forces had fired live bullets at people protesting against Salehs rule. Street fighting in Sanaa has killed at least 135 people in the past 10 days, officials said.
