Yemen: Al-Qaedas Al Awlaki narrowly escapes US drone attack

After killing Osama Bin Laden the United States has started to target other Al-Qaeda leaders.

According foreign news agencies, Al Qaeda leader Al Awlaki narrowly escaped missile fired from a US drone aircraft, targeting a car in the Shueba province in Yemen. According to sources Al Awlaki was travelling with his Saudi accomplices when the attack occurred.Yemens Defense Ministry confirmed that the drone attack had killed two al Qaeda militants, identifying them as brothers Musaid and Abdullah Mubarak al-Daghari. The Shueba province is considered to be the base of Al-Qaeda. Washington considers the Yemen-based al Qaeda branch the worlds most active terror cell.
