Sidhu said that Imran Khan would make a ladder of success out of mountains of difficulties.

(Web Desk) – The extremists of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged protest against Congress leader and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu for his decision to visit Pakistan to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Imran Khan as Pakistan s Prime Minister.

Navjot Singh was invited by his former fellow cricketer Imran Khan to the ceremony. "How could he attend Imran Khan s oath-taking ceremony and hug Pakistan s Army Chief being Punjab s cabinet minister when India is mourning the death of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee". They demanded explanation from the Congress party.

Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday participated in oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan at President House in Islamabad.

On the occasion, Sidhu said that Imran Khan would make a ladder of success out of mountains of difficulties; this is what Pakistan needs today.

“I’m here as a friend and not any political personality. I’ve come to Pakistan as a messenger of peace and goodwill. May the ties between two countries flourish,” he said.

Sidhu was granted visa on Monday by the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi. He confirmed the development during his telephonic conversation with PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan.
