(Web Desk) – As a result of the deadly wildfires that hit Northern California earlier this week, at least 15 people have been killed and more than 1,500 structures have been destroyed.

The fires have burned more than 100,000 acres, forced the evacuation of more than 20,000 people and destroyed over 2,000 homes and businesses, according to the authorities.

California Governor Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency in Napa, Sonoma and Yuba counties and said thousands of firefighters had been deployed to fight the blazes.
