16-year-old German girl who joined ISIS says she wants to go home
Linda was imprisoned by Iraq security forces after being discovered with the terrorist organisation
(Web Desk) – 16-year-old girl German girl who joined Islamic State (ISIS) has reportedly expressed her longing to reach home as she has had enough of the war and weapons.
Linda Wenzel had disappeared from Dresden, a city in Germany, where she used to attend school and went missing all of a sudden. She regrets joining the terrorist organisation and becoming a bride of a militant within. Security forces in Iraq had raided a tunnel in Mosul where they arrested four German women including Linda.
In an interview with the German media, Linda told she regretted her decision instantly and now wants to go home. The suspects are under consular assistance in Iraq and spending their days in detention.
When asked whether she misses her family, Linda said, “I just want to go home to my family.” I want to go home, away from war, weapons and the noise, she told.
The teenage girl has promised to extend full support with the Iraqi authorities. She had a wound of gunshot on her left thigh while the right knee also appears injured.
Iraqi forces had declared victory over ISIS in Mosul in July. A number of women from different countries had been arrested in accusation of support for the terror group.
