Saudi Arabia to terminate 70,000 expatriates from jobs

The government has directed to hire Saudi nationals on the posts.

RIYADH (Daily Dunya) – Saudi Arabia has announced to terminate 70,000 foreigners from their jobs in the country under their new policy.

In accordance with Saudization plan 2020, the government has directed all ministries and government departments to get rid of all expatriate workers within three years. “There will be no expatriate workers in the government after 2020,” deputy minister Abdullah Al-Melfi told a meeting as quoted by Saudi Gazette.

The government has also directed to hire Saudi nationals on the posts left vacant after the eviction of foreign expats.
