(Web Desk) – Warning, graphic content  Man in Mathura of Indian Uttar Pradesh doused acid on his married daughter for exposing his human trafficking racket, metro.co.uk reported on Tuesday.

20-year-old Khushboo Devi was asleep with her three-year-old daughter and husband when Manik Chandra, her father doused acid on her scaring her face, arms and shoulders.

Chandra also left his son-in-law and grandchild injured in the attack following which all three were rushed to a hospital.

She said her father attacked her because she knew everything about him. He knows he’ll get locked up for life with the secrets I know; the number of marriages, the buying and selling of girls over and over again, she told the media outlet.

Chandra, according to the victim, used to marry girls after luring them before selling them off. Khushboo recalls being 10 years of age and witnessing crimes committed her father.






He mentally and physically abused her mother until she was alive, Khushboo laid out.

She was married to a local plumber, Vinod in 2012 as Chandra owed him around Rs 40,000 and was unable to pay the debt. She was 14 years of age then.

Khushboo further said that Chandra was about to marry her younger sister, 16, to a 50-year-old man but she intervened and did not let her father commit another crime.
