Americas biggest community of Egyptian-Americans staged a demonstration on Friday in the heart of New York City to coincide with intensified protests in Cairo to oust Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.About 500 people gathered behind police barricades in Times Square chanting, Mubarak must go” The US government estimates that 60,000 Egyptian Americans live in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, with more than 21,000 of them in New York City. The city is also home to Little Egypt, a neighborhood in Queens where many Egyptian immigrants have watched the clashes on TVs in coffee shops and restaurants.
