OIC condemns human rights violations in IHK

The OIC has expressed its concern over the situation of Occupied Kashmir demanding an immediate stoppage of human rights violations. A meeting of the Action Committee of the OIC was held in United Nations which was presided over by OIC Secretary General Akmaluddin Ihsan Oglu. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi represented the country in the meeting while Ghulam Nabi Fai represented Jammu Kashmir. Expressing complete solidarity with the Kashmiri people, OIC Secretary General demanded stoppage of human rights violations in Kashmir. Speaking on the occasion, FM Qureshi said that Pakistan would continue its moral, political and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri people. He also stressed the need of negotiations between India and Pakistan for a durable and peaceful solution to the problem. Secretary General Akmal-ul-Din Ahsan Oaglu also laid emphasis upon the need of negotiations between the two countries for durable and peaceful solution to the issue of Kashmir.
