The Kashmir valley in India is witnessing a surge of separatist violence that forced the authorities to impose curfew frequently in several parts of the disputed region.In the latest incident a mob of protesters in Srinagar city once again upset normalcy in Srinagar city of Indian Kashmir. Gathering in large numbers they staged a protest against the killing of youth in the recent past and clashed with security forces deployed to maintain law and order. The agitated protestors pelted stones that prompted the security personnel to retaliate by opening fire and throwing stones back at them. So far no causalities have been reported.It is pertinent to mention that over 60 persons have been killed in the past three months.
