Pakistan at heart of regional peace effort: Holbrooke
US special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke has expressed satisfaction over enhancement in Pak-Afghan relations. He informed that the US is in contact with the Taliban and other groups in Afghanistan.Holbrooke expressed his views during an interview with an American news channel where he said that the US mission has not failed in Afghanistan rather the forces are moving steadily towards the ultimate goal of establishing peace in Afghanistan. He said that the US wants Afghan President Hamid Karzai to head all Afghan policies. He said that cooperation with the Taliban is important for the Afghan people. He pointed out that the US has no direct contact with the Taliban leadership in Afghanistan.
