NATO air-strike accidentally kills five Afghan soldiers
At least five Afghan Army soldiers were killed while two others were seriously injured when a NATO air-strike mistakenly hit an Afghan army unit in southern Afghanistan.According to spokesperson from Ministry of Defense, the soldiers were conducting an anti-insurgent operation in Ghazni province. ISAF spokesman General Joseph Blotz said a lack of coordination between foreign troops and Afghan soldiers on the ground was the prime been the reason for the mistake. The Afghan government has lodged a severe protest against the killing and demanded a joint investigation by Afghan and NATO officials of the incident.
