US and South Korea remain staunch allies

US has re-iterated that South Korea that the United States and South Korea remain staunch allies and they are ready to see off any threats posed by neighboring North.United States and South Korea may hold additional military exercises in response to North Korea's alleged sinking of one of Seoul's warships. State of the art US aircraft carrier may also take part in the exercises.
