Uggie has received two nominations for the Golden Collars.
One of the stars of the hit silent movie The Artist is up for a glittering new prize - the Golden Collar Award.Uggie - who became a hit at the recent Golden Globe Awards - has been nominated in the first annual Dog News Daily prize that honours canines in movies.He was joined by The Artist co-star Penelope Ann Miller, who announced the nominees for best dog in a theatrical film.Uggie earned two nods - one for his role in The Artist and another for his part in Water For Elephants.Other dog nominees included Cosmo from Beginners, Denver from 50/50 and Hummer from Young Adult.Miller said she was happy her four-legged colleague was getting some recognition.I think there is one scene where I throw a newspaper at the dog and I felt horrible because I do love dogs, but he was a good little actor that dog.I think he deserves all the accolades that hes getting.The Golden Collar Awards will be handed out on February 13.
