UK dog surfing championship sees dogs smash three records in one day
(Web Desk) - In a thrilling display at the recent Dog Surfing Championship held on Dorset’s coast this month, dogs and their owners set three remarkable world records in a single day, captivating an audience of nearly 4,000 spectators.
The first record was for the most dog-human pairs surfing simultaneously.
Multiple owners and their dogs completed a 50-meter paddle together, establishing a new world record for the largest group of dogs and owners surfing at once.
The second record was for the fastest 50-meter surf. Matthew Jenkins and his dog clinched this title by covering the distance in just 32 seconds, surpassing the previous record held by Ben Gray and his dog Collie. Both pairs were jointly recognized as record holders for this achievement.
The third record was for the most dogs on a single paddleboard. A staggering 12 dogs surfed together on one board, securing this unique world record.
The fun-filled event, attended by over 30 owners and their dogs, showcased the incredible bond between the participants and their pets, drawing cheers from the enthusiastic crowd at Dorset’s beach.
