LONDON (Web Desk) - A vegetarian is looking forward to getting married this summer to their childhood sweetheart, Nina, but says they were left shocked after their mother cancelled their veggie wedding catering services, hiring a non-veggie company instead.
The soon-to-be-wed couple has been vegetarian for years and didn t feel it made any sense to serve guests food they wouldn t personally eat.
After getting wind of their plans for a vegetarian wedding reception, however, the interfering mother just wasn t happy at all, blasting all vegetarian food as bland .
She also argued that they ll regret it when their guests go home hungry , despite the couple s firm belief that they ll be full by the time they finish the substantial canapés.
They never could have guessed however just how far she would take her strong aversion to vegetarian food, with her actions ultimately resulting in her invite being rescinded altogether.
The miffed bride or groom-to-be said: "Last night it came to my attention that she cancelled our catering service and hired a new non-vegetarian one.
"It blows my mind how she was able to do this. After two exhausting calls with catering services (we got ours back), I sent her a message that she just got herself uninvited to the wedding. A moment later she called me angry and sounded like crying, but I hung up after a minute.
"Nina thinks this is reasonable, and that we were generous to even invite her in the first place. But our relatives called either angry or disappointed that I would do this to my mother. But I wouldn t be making this post if my siblings haven t said the same and that I should have made a compromise."
