Garlic, peanut eater hen lays 31 eggs a day
NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – A hen in the state of Utrakhanda has gained traction as it laid 31 eggs in a day prompting suggestion from the community that it must be included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Garesh Chandra Badhani, its owner, says, unlike ordinary hens, his hen consumes garlic and peanuts. Indian media reported that Garesh’s children brought chicks from far-flung areas for INR200 as they wanted to pet hens. On Dec 25, when Garesh returned from work, his children informed him that the hen had laid five eggs. However, it started laying an egg every 10 to 15 minutes after that totallin up to 31.
Garesh, sensing the unusual, took the hen to a vet to inquire whether the bird was suffering from some disease. However, his assumption turned out to be false.
