Brazilian man breaks world record by attending 11 world cups

(Web Desk) - A 75-year-old man recently earned Guinness World Record for attending the most FIFA World Cup Tournaments attended by any man.

A man named Daniel Sbruzzi, from Taubete Sao Paulo, attended his first world cup back in 1978 in Argentine.

Sbruzzi told the Guinness World Records that watching football matches is an opportunity for him to experience different cultures from the world calling it “connecting to great passions.”

He further said that he also brought his own culture to all the places he visited by representing his carnival block "Bloco Vai Quem Quer “or “Whoever wants can go.”

Sbruzzi also told them “A trait of Bloco Vai Quem Quer is that men dress up as women during the carnival period and parade in the streets. I try to take the culture from my city around the world."

He said that Qatar World Cup is the only one he attended without dressing as a woman because of the strict dress code.

He further has plans to attend the 2026 World Cup which will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and United States, to break his own record.

Sbruzzi expressed “I feel how much I represent the fans  passion for World Cups, and I am proud to be Brazilian.”
