High school student pretended as doctor for a year
(Web Desk) - A 20-year-old woman in Turkey, was detained after it turned out that she had never studied medicine but had been employed as a doctor in a public hospital.
After graduating from high school, Ayse Zkiraz attempted to get into medical school because her family had always wanted her to be a doctor, but she was unsuccessful. She didn’t want to disappoint her family, so rather than accepting her mistake and moving on, she told them that she had been accepted into the prestigious Capa Medical University and that she was pursuing a career as a doctor. To keep her parents from finding out, she even fabricated her exam results and enrollment documents, but this was just the beginning of her journey.
My parents wanted me to attend a medical school while I was in high school. They expected that I would perform well. However, I did not receive a score that would have allowed me to join a medical college, Zkiraz recently admitted.
“I made a fake test result sheet and gave it to my family when they asked to view the exam result paperwork,” the student said.
However, the young girl began lying to everyone after lying to her family first. She moved into a dorm in Istanbul and revealed to everyone that she was a medical student. Additionally, she created a fake student ID card and began to hang out at Capa Medical University, mingling with real medical students.
Ayse came home to be with her parents one day when her mother became ill and had to be transported to a hospital in Tekirda. While over there, she actually began informing the medical staff that she was a doctor herself. In order to make her deception seem credible, she used fake doctor identification cards, university student ID cards, and even a plaque indicating that Zkiraz had graduated at the top of her class.
She even lied about her age, claiming to be 25 when she was only 20 years old.
Ayse Zkiraz accepted the offer to work there after earning the respect of the medical employees, despite never having studied, or practicing, medicine.
The hospital’s doctors came to love and trust me over time. I even got to participate in an operation after telling a chief physician that I wanted to become a pediatric surgeon. He instructed me to patch the wound during the procedure, stated Zkiraz.
The 20-year-old managed to pass herself off as a doctor somehow, but there was only so much she could do to maintain the pretense.
As she continued to avoid or incorrectly answer to simple medical concerns, Tekirda’s hospital’s actual doctors eventually began to grow suspicious. The workers called police after they found she was lying about her training.
Police discovered multiple forged documents, medical uniforms, and fake ID cards from various Turkish hospitals when searching Ayse Zkiraz’s rented residence. After being detained, she eventually confessed to faking mental illness for more than a year.
The woman’s parents are still in disbelief that their daughter would lie to them and they are convinced that Ayse s story is not complete.
Ayse Zkiraz’s mother told reporters, “My child would never undertake such a thing.” “She ate her meals in operating theatres, and the chief physician was also present. She appears with the doctor in photos. She was in the nurses’ room when we spoke on video call. Nothing is clear to us.”
