Iranian man named worlds shortest by Guinness World Records

(Web Desk) - Guinness World Records declared a 20-year-old Iranian man to be the shortest man alive after measuring him at 2 feet, 1.6 inches.

The previous shortest man alive, Edward “Nio” Hernandez, 36, from Colombia, was determined to be 2.7 inches taller than Afshin Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh, from a village in Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province.

According to Ghaderzadeh’s parents, he weighed 1.5 pounds when he was born, and as of right now, he weighs 14.3 pounds.
“The tallest man alive is somebody I know. I may possibly fit in his palms,” Ghaderzadeh joked.

Ghaderzadeh said he hopes his newfound fame will enable him to support his family because his physical constraints make it impossible for him to find job.

“To be able to help my parents is what I want. This worldwide recognition could aid me in accomplishing my dream” he said.
