Wife divorces herself from husband's phone
The man had repeatedly refused to grant his wife a divorce.
DUBAI (Web Desk) - In a bid to get rid of her stubborn husband, an Emirati woman came up with the idea of divorcing herself from his mobile phone, reported Alarabiya English.
The man had repeatedly refused to grant his wife a divorce because he wants to humiliate her and emotionally torture her.
The couple was frequently indulged in quarrels and sleep in separate rooms. The agitated wife when cannot bear the relationship any longer, consulted an Islamic scholar and was reassured that the “Triple Talaq” is effective via text message.
When the husband was sound asleep, the woman unlocked his husband’s cellphone while using his finger-tip and sent a text message to herself “I divorce you”, three times.
Later, she took her phone to the court as an evidence that she is now divorced. However; she fell into much more trouble than before when the officials at the Dubai Personal Status Court asked the woman of the source of the message.
Unable to reply truly to the question as this will involve his husband, she admitted to her actions.
After the husband came to know of the incident, he vowed to make the divorce process in court as hard and slow as possible.
