ECP appoints deceased headmaster as RO
When contacted, returning office replied that Education Department had provided 5 years old list
PIR MAHAL (Dunya News) – Election Commission appointed a deceased headmaster of a school as Returning Officer (RO) for the upcoming local body elections in District Toba Tek Singh, reported Dunya News.
In a bizarre turn of events, Election Commission appointed former headmaster of Government Boys High School 24/683. The headmaster, named Muhammad Iftikhar, had died 4 years earlier due to heart attack. Training schedule of late headmaster has also been issued by the returning office.
When contacted, returning office replied that Education Department had provided 5 years old list which had caused the problem. These types of problems, they said, are normally associated with with old lists.
