Man steals steak, wine to impress a lady
A man allegedly stole slice of quality and quality beef and wine to impress his girl friend.
James Flenniken, 48, went all-out for an upcoming date by allegedly stealing about $80 worth of steaks, wine and beer from Walmart in Manatee County, Fla., according to the Bradenton Herald.
According to the sheriff s office, Flenniken was nabbed by Walmart s loss prevention officer, and when deputies showed up, Flenniken, completely unprompted, informed them he had taken the goods to "impress a lady."
He was charged with petty theft.
Nevertheless, Flenniken s courtship strategy is still preferable to the not-so-smooth moves of Jason Dean, a Georgia man who handcuffed himself to his Taco Bell coworker in order to force her to go on a date with him.
